On Friday, October 3rd, I had the opportunity to live an incredible experience with my family at Six Flags Great Adventure, in Jackson, New Jersey.
We were invited to the Media Night of Fright Fest presented by SNICKERS®, and what we experienced was the perfect mix of family fun, adrenaline, and a delicious touch of fright.
From the moment we arrived, the park was already breathing Halloween: dim lights, fog, nervous laughter, and spectacular decorations everywhere.
The whole atmosphere was charged with anticipation —as if something, or someone, was about to awaken.
Dinner with Monsters: A Deliciously Spooky Experience
Our night began with something completely different —a themed dinner alongside monsters at the Caribbean RIP Grill.
The name itself promised something out of the ordinary… and it delivered beyond expectations.
We were welcomed with food and drinks specially designed for Halloween: black-bun burgers, tomb-shaped desserts, and blood-red cocktails glowing under violet lights.
The servers were dressed as creatures straight out of a horror film, but with a great sense of humor —they joked, posed for photos, and made the atmosphere delightfully eerie.
While we ate, monsters began to wander between the tables —zombies, witches, clowns, and skeletons who waved, startled guests gently, and made everyone laugh.
It was a perfect balance of fear and fun.
As part of the Media Night, we also received Fast Passes, which allowed us to skip long lines and enjoy the park’s most popular attractions.

The Awakening: When the Night Comes Alive
At six o’clock sharp, everything changed.
In the main plaza, the sound of drums and sinister laughter announced the start of The Awakening, the show where the park’s monsters “wake up” and take over the streets.
Red lights, fog, and special effects turned the space into a live movie.
Families screamed, filmed, and laughed as creatures crept through the crowd —a perfect opening for an unforgettable night.
Halloween Attractions: Between Screams and Giggles
After the show, we set out to explore all the Fright Fest attractions, making the most of our Fast Passes.
Some of our favorites included:
- Army of the Dead, inspired by the Netflix film —neon lights, chilling sounds, and zombies that looked almost too real.
- The Conjuring Universe, where we faced Annabelle and The Nun. The settings were so detailed it was easy to forget it was just a ride.
- Big Top Terror, a haunted circus tent full of twisted clowns lurking behind every corner.
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre, where Leatherface’s chainsaw echoed in the dark… yes, we jumped more than once!
- Plaza de la Muerte, a new scare zone bursting with Latin rhythms, vibrant lights, and an atmosphere somewhere between party and nightmare.
Each maze had its own story, style, and energy —some scarier, others funnier, but all bursting with creativity.

Unforgettable Moments
One of the best parts was seeing people of all ages embracing the Halloween spirit —from little kids in costumes to adults laughing, screaming, and snapping selfies with monsters.
The combination of art, design, and humor made the whole experience intense yet perfectly enjoyable for families.
We ended the night tired, faces painted, hearts racing… and absolutely happy.
