Home and Cleaning Tips

I make my own soap to wash the household clothes, and I could not stop sharing how I also do my own fabric softener.

The main objective if you ask me, is to gradually eliminate the use of chemicals in my home and one of the main changes I made at the beginning of this transition was the soap, fabric softener and dryer wipes.

The second reason for this change is savings, although there are organic products on the market, they are always a bit more expensive than the traditional ones, so making my own cleaning products helps me save and take care of the home economy .

How to make fabric softener:

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup of baking soda
  • 7 cups of water
  • 6 cups vinegar
  • Essential oil of your choice (optional)

PREPARATION:

Combine 1 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of water in a bucket, then add 6 cups of vinegar and leave on for about 5 minutes. Then 6 cups of warm water are added and mixed well. You can put 15 or 20 drops of some essential oil of your choice to aromatizad the softener. We place in a container with a lid and use ⅓ cup in each wash, do not forget to shake well before each use                                                                                                                                                                                                          suavizante-de-ropa-casero.

DISTILLED WHITE VINEGAR:

The most economical way is the use of vinegar as a rinse, which helps eliminate soap residue on clothing, so it leaves the fabrics softer. You just have to put half a cup of vinegar in the rinse cycle and that’s it.
The other way to soften the clothes is to soak a cloth or cloth with vinegar and put it in the dryer along with the clothes before starting the drying.

VINEGAR AND BICARBONATE: to remove static from the clothes, you can place ½ cup of baking soda in the bottom of the washing machine before putting the clothes and add the vinegar in the place of the fabric softener. As a result the clothes will be soft and without static.

As always I invite you to share your opinions and advice, thank you very much.
